On Saturday 15 August, Team Torbay took on the exciting Inflatable 5K in Exeter to raise funds for Torbay and South Devon NHS Charity.
A fantastic team of ten colleagues from our Emergency Department braved the giant inflatable obstacles, who were Christina, Joanne, Jemma, Charlotte, Sara, Zoe, Kelly, Samantha, Ashley and Izzy. They were also joined by a family team of three, Melanie, Angela and Logan, who completed the course in support of the charity.
Despite the hot weather, everyone had a great time tackling the inflatable challenges, encouraging one another around the course and raising money for causes close to their hearts.
Funds raised by our Emergency Department team will support projects within the Emergency Department, helping to enhance the experience of patients and staff. Meanwhile, Melanie, Angela and Logan have chosen for their fundraising to benefit Louisa Cary Children’s Ward.
A huge thank you to all thirteen participants for their enthusiasm, commitment and support. Your efforts will make a real difference to patients, families and staff across Torbay and South Devon.
Well done, Team Torbay!
